Ana Khemoklidze

Ana Khemoklidze is a psychotherapist, trainer and mental-health specialist with more than nine years of experience in the field. Her areas of specialisation include Gestalt psychotherapy, DBT therapy, running rehabilitation programmes, developing and teaching an art-therapy training programme, and delivering training. Her work experience spans the public, private and educational sectors. She currently works as a psychotherapist at the Guga Sikharulidze Mental Health Centre (2026–present), where she conducts individual and group psychotherapy sessions with adult clients, uses evidence-based approaches and participates in a multidisciplinary team. In 2025–2026, she founded and ran her own private practice, Selfi, where she developed a three-month intensive art-therapy training course and successfully delivered five independent training projects for more than 100 participants.

Previously, in 2021–2026, Ana worked as a psychologist at the National Agency for Crime Prevention, Execution of Non-custodial Sentences and Probation, where she assessed beneficiaries' risks and needs using standardised tools and provided individual psychotherapy and psychological rehabilitation services. In 2019–2021, she worked at the Family private kindergarten network as a psychologist, trainer and later branch manager; in 2018–2019, she worked as a trainer at the Association for Assistance to Children with Hearing and Speech Impairments. Her professional career began in 2018. In 2019, she worked as a psychology intern at the Ministry of Defence of Georgia, where she conducted psychological assessments of personnel and participated in therapeutic meetings for military personnel.

Regarding education, Ana received a master's degree in Applied Psychology at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) during 2020–2022 and a bachelor's degree in Psychology at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University during 2015–2019. She has also completed numerous training programmes and certified courses, including strengthening DBT-based skills from the Council of Europe (2025), communication and behaviour etiquette involving persons with disabilities (2025), a competence framework for adult educators (2023), rehabilitation of persons in conflict with the law (2022), relapse prevention (2021), and others.

Her professional skills include clinical and therapeutic competencies—individual psychotherapy, art therapy, DBT/CBT approaches, risk assessment and rehabilitation programmes—as well as organisational and teaching skills, such as facilitating training, developing training programmes, supervision, team management and project management.
