Mariam Devidze

Mariam Devidze is a European-accredited Gestalt psychotherapist and paediatrician. She has many years of continuous practice combining medical, psychotherapeutic and academic work.
Education and international qualifications
Mariam Devidze graduated from the Faculty of Paediatrics at Tbilisi State Medical University (1992–1999). She subsequently developed her professional qualifications at the Georgian National Gestalt Institute (2017–2021) and the Dimitri Uznadze Psychology Training and Consultation Centre (2017–2018).
In 2022, she received European accreditation in Gestalt therapy. Her international professional development also includes participation in programmes such as the Salento Gestalt Summer School (Italy) and a professional conference in Valencia (Spain).

Professional experience and work:

Her professional career began in medicine, working as a paediatrician at the G. Zhvania Paediatric Clinic (2000–2006). She also has experience in the pharmaceutical sector as a regional representative of the Hungarian company EGIS (2008–2019).
Since 2019, she has maintained active clinical practice as a psychotherapist for children, adolescents and adults at Gori Medical Centre, the National Gestalt Centre for Psychology and Psychotherapy, and the Dao Psychosocial Development Centre. She also conducts private and online practice. Since 2019, she has worked as a child psychotherapist at the IQ Child Development Centre. She is a member of the Ethics Committee of the Georgian Association of Gestalt Therapists.
Academic work
Mariam Devidze is actively involved in academic work. She is a trainer at the Georgian National Gestalt Institute and a lecturer at the Dimitri Uznadze Psychology Training and Consultation Centre. In 2022, she was a guest lecturer at Caucasus University.
Clinical competence and continuing education
Her clinical competence includes work with trauma, relationship difficulties involving adolescents, management of complex clinical cases, body-oriented therapy and group supervision. She continually develops her qualifications, as reflected in numerous certificates, including:
