Day Center
Day Center
What is a day center?
A day center (day hospital) is an internationally recognized, highly effective, and comprehensive treatment model that offers patients an intensive therapeutic program in hotel-style, homelike surroundings that are designed to be as close as possible to a family environment.
The patient stays at the center only during the day and returns to their own home environment in the evening.
Within this service, a person has the opportunity to receive an in-depth, comprehensive, and complete course of treatment in a comfortable, structured, and supportive environment, without being cut off from their everyday life and usual pattern of social functioning.
Services offered by the Day Center:
Involvement of a multidisciplinary team: psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, and psychotherapists
Daily consultations with a psychiatrist and psychologist: dynamic monitoring and management of treatment.
Assessment of mental functions and personality, based on international instruments and a clinical interview.
Psychotherapy: individualized approaches (cognitive-behavioral, eclectic, Gestalt therapy)
Educational sessions for family members (only with the patient present)
Extended case conferences: joint specialist meetings and case discussions with the participation of Prof. Guga Sikharulidze
Psycho-social rehabilitation:
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)
